Following every mass shooting it seems as though people react in two separate and polar opposite directions.  One side to ban guns the other to learn to use guns in self defense.

Years ago after surviving a kidnapping and rape that nearly cost me my life I chose the path of learning self defense.  Over the years I have listened to those who think they can change human nature and cause evil to disappear.  I have studied too much history to see that as a possibility.  I also know the police are not a personal body guard and there may well be times when I might be called upon to save my own life.

Members of minority groups who might be targeted for hate crimes should be prepared to defend their own lives.
