Today we visited Lees Gun Parts (http://leesgunparts.com) at 3401 W Pioneer Dr. in Irving, Tx. It’s right near the intersection of Belt Line and Pioneer.
We knew the guys there from the big Market Hall Shows in Dallas. They had fixed a MAB we had that was missing a firing pin.
We went over there with another gun that was missing a couple of parts.
It was like stepping into a time machine and taking a trip back to the 1950s when we actually had repair shops that fixed things, an
art that has been lost in this throw away age. From the men hanging out shooting the bull to the smells of old card board parts boxes and gun oil.
It reminded me of the time I spent working in inventory and shipping at the store that sold British motor cycle parts.
Fixing stuff instead of throwing it away. What a great idea.
They do mail orders but they are one of the few places left in the D/FW area where they actually still do gun smithing.
So if you have a gun that is missing a couple of parts or needs some smithing give them a holler.
They are real nice folks and like all small businesses of today I’m sure they will appreciate your business.
